Registration
Registration closed Sunday 1 June 2025.
If you are unable to attend in person, you may wish to purchase a Sussex Keynote/Plenary Livestream registration (£35), to watch the main conference talks via Zoom: book via the University of Sussex Online Shop.
Zoom links will be sent out via email approx. 24 hours ahead of the first keynote talk, to delegates who have purchased the Livestream registration.
What does conference registration include?
The 4-day conference registration includes access to:
- The full conference programme sessions and keynotes
- Pre-conference events at King’s College London on Friday 4 July (separate booking necessary via this TicketTailor link) – FULLY BOOKED, WAITLIST CLOSED
- Main conference dinner (BBQ) and drinks reception, sponsored by Edinburgh University Press, on Saturday 5 July
- Evening performance of Between the Acts at ACCA on Saturday 5 July (separate booking necessary – see email confirmation from 4-day/Saturday 1-day registration) – FULLY BOOKED, NO WAITLIST.
- Farewell drinks reception, sponsored by Beak Brewery, on Tuesday 8 July
- Daily lunches, drinks and breaktime refreshments throughout, including ‘Best of British’ themed picnic lunch on Sunday 6 July
- …and further conference activities, still to be confirmed.
Per-day registration will include the above activities, if scheduled to happen on their named day(s).
What is not included?
The following events/activities must be purchased in addition to registration:
- Friday 4 July post-event coach ticket from King’s College London to Brighton and the University of Sussex campus (limited availability) – FULLY BOOKED, WAITLIST CLOSED
- Charleston House visit and evening meal (including coach travel) – Monday 7 July – FULLY BOOKED, WAITLIST CLOSED
- Day excursion (including coach travel) to Monks House and Towner Eastbourne – Wednesday 9 July – FULLY BOOKED, WAITLIST CLOSED
- NB. if your conference registration does not include Saturday, you will need to purchase a ticket for the Between the Acts Performance – FULLY BOOKED, NO WAITLIST
- Accommodation – FULLY BOOKED – see ‘Accommodation’ page
For those unable to attend the conference in person, we regret that we are not able to offer hybrid participation. For a small registration fee, the Sussex keynote talks will be available to watch as a Zoom livestream – book via the online shop (link above).
Important:
- Cancellations within 14 days of the conference start date are non-refundable. Outside of 14 days, a 20% administration charge will be deducted. Cancellation requests should be sent to mah-research@sussex.ac.uk and virginiawoolf2025@gmail.com
- All conference speakers must register by Friday 18 April 2025, to secure their inclusion in the conference programme.
- Concession rates for registrations (4-day and per-day) are offered to: PhD, Master’s and Undergraduate students; retired; self-employed practitioners; unwaged or precariously employed.
- If you are not booked onto the Charleston and Monk’s House excursions via the registration process, you will not be able to visit these properties independently on the same day due to visitor number restrictions. Please refer to ‘While you are here’ page, for links to their websites (for opening hours, travel information etc).
Merchandise
This year’s conference merchandise features artwork by A T Kabe Wilson (see Featured Events), using the Virginia Woolf quote: “though we see the same world, we see it through different eyes.” Merchandise is available to pre-order until 6 June 2025, for collection at the conference. We cannot guarantee there will be remaining stock for sale at the conference.
